Biography

Mbah, Chidi Slessor hails from Amaokwe Achara in Uturu, Isuikwuato LGA, Abia State, Nigeria. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology, Abia State University, Uturu, Nigeria. He graduated as the best graduating student of the Faculty of Social Sciences and the best graduating student of the Department of Sociology, Abia State University, in 2001. He served as the Class Representative from 100 to 400 level and received the Best Class Rep Award in 1999. A former football captain of Abia State University, Uturu, and Director of Sports (SUG) in the 1999/2000 session, he obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the famous University of Ibadan. Dr. Mbah has actively served in many leadership capacities.

Founder & First Chairman, Uturu Inter-Autonomous Football Association (1999–2004)

He specializes in Population Studies and Gender Analysis. He has authored over 35 peer-reviewed journal articles and 2 textbooks. He is married and has four children.
